El Dorado High Sober Grad Night is a party organized each year by parents to provide a safe environment for the graduates to celebrate with their friends. Due to alcohol and drug use, graduation night across the US is one of the most dangerous time for young people. Hundreds of California high schools now celebrate graduation with alcohol- and drug-free events.
Sober Grad Night provides a special time – maybe the last time – to be with high school friends to talk, share and have a good, safe time celebrating the completion of high school. The party is funded through ticket sales, donations, and other fundraising events and the continuing support of community and local businesses.
Sober Grad Night 2014 was a success, thanks to all the people and sponsors that made it possible. Ron Thompson for donating lights, Joe Vicini, Inc., for the sand beach volleyball court, Placerville Kiwanis Club, Stymeist Collision Center staff members, and many more.
